美しい光
梅雨入りして、もう２週間にもなる。
昨年も「雨」というタイトルで、おはなししましたので、雨の話は飛ばしますが、この時期、どうしても心が晴れないのは、空のせいでもあるかもしれませんね。それでも雨露をたっぷり含んで、朝もやの中に僅かにさす光の中で、静かに息づいている紫陽花のたたずまいは、凛として私達の姿勢を正すような落ち着いた気品のある神秘を漂わせます。

　　　　　　あじさいや真水の如き色つらね(高木晴子)

高木さんは、高浜虚子の娘さんで、紫陽花を真水の如きと読む心は、変幻自在に色の変わる花の特徴をうまく捉えられていますね。
思い込みを捨てて、一旦心を空しくして、そののちに改めて無心で見る花は常識(定義)を超えた、色そのものに出会うことができるのかもしれませんね。

　　　　　　さみだれや　大河を前に　家 二軒 （蕪村）

良く知られた句ですが、絵画的なイメージは湧いても、家二軒というのが只ならぬ気配を漂わせていますね。五月雨を集めて、洪水のように激しい自然の猛威の中で、小さく力無い人の立てた家が二軒、一生懸命拮抗している。
これって「ハチドリのひと雫」と同じ様に、自然に対する人間の戦い方を象徴しているようですね。身の丈にあったやり方で。

さて梅雨もあければ、間もなく暑い夏がやってきます。被災された方々は、晴れれば晴れたで、暑く苦しく大変な日々が待っているのかもしれません。
間もなく日本中で夏の夜空を彩る花火大会も催されるでしょう。

時は18世紀、パリではﾙｲ15世騎馬隊の広場建立を記念して大花火大会が催された。東西共に天変地異や穀物不作・飢饉の多かった時期で
日本でも同じ18世紀の徳川吉宗の治世に「両国の花火大会」を始めた。
全国的な凶作や悪疫の退散や、災害による餓死者の慰霊を願って幕府が催した。
それは川施餓鬼や水神祭の光のイベントだった。

そこには美しい、いい光を天空高く投げ上げることによって水神の怒りを鎮め、水難事故を防ぎ、川で亡くなって迷っている魂が、花火に導かれ天国に行けるように、との思いが込められていた。

先行き不透明な現代も、人は切実に希望の光を求めて、この花火に願いを託すのだろうか。それぞれの思いを込めて。
