“Outsider” is HBO TV series, which is based on Stephen King's best-selling novel with the same title.
This reminds me a bit of the 2019 movie “US” and old Japanese movie called “Cure” by Kiyoshi Kurosawa.
The eerie feeling is huge...
HBO really has many good series; I haven’t watched all the HBO shows but of course the best is Game of Thrones and that’s my best, not only just in TV series but best among all kinds of entertainment.
So I just finished binge-watched Season 1. Apparently, there is only one season.
This drama, Outsider was good and very exciting, lots of mysteries and the eerie feelings; great music that heightened up my tension. There was this type of music that can make you feel uncomfortable but then it was so good. Also the angle they shot certain scenes, excellent.
Instead of direct cut, there was a moment I felt as if I was a painting hanging on the wall, looking through what's happening in the other room.
Though it was a good show, the ending was quite disappointing and depressing.
I felt like people died for no reason and basically that possessed Jack guy killed most of the good guys.
Felt so sad for the lawyer since no one really talked about him !!!
And the guy who go shot first...and many times.
So sad.
No one talked much about them.
Also I hoped for more interaction between the “thing” and Holly.
Holly was a very interesting character.
I did not read the book so I didn't know what was going to happen and what's the difference from the book.
Well, I enjoyed it.. and I would rate it 8 but because of the ending, I rate it 7.5.
Too bad no Season 2.
It just ended in Season 1.
