“For the first time on television, more than a dozen members of the royal family offer their personal thoughts and reflections as they pay an historic tribute to the extraordinary life of HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
All the children of the Queen and Prince Philip, along with their adult grandchildren and other members of the royal family, have contributed to this unique portrait of the longest-serving consort in royal history.
Originally conceived to mark Prince Philip’s one hundredth birthday, this landmark documentary features interviews filmed both before and after the duke’s death in April. The documentary makers have been inside Buckingham Palace to meet the duke’s staff and to capture his study, private office and library, exactly as they were during his seven decades at the heart of royal life.
There are poignant recollections, plenty of humor and numerous fresh insights into the character and legacy of this royal pioneer.
With special access to the Queen’s private cine film collection, this documentary is an unrivalled portrait of a man with a unique place in royal history - by those who knew him best. ”

It was brief but a good documentary. What made this good was that it was not created by anyone BUT his own loving family.
Prince Philip has been one of my most admirable person on the earth.
The Queen and Prince Philip made really a good couple, an excellent team, really the most admirable couple. His life was so remarkable.
His childhood was so tough, he did not really have proper family; yet he worked hard, tried his best, made his own way, married his sweet young princess(later Queen), created his own family, supported his family, created many organizations, supported the preservation of wildlife, supported young people and stayed beside his wife the Queen for all his life.
It was touching and a bit sad to hear Prince Charles talked about his father.
I could tell Prince Charles really had lots of feelings about his father but there was always love.
He really missed Prince Philip.
It was sweet to hear the Lady Louise talking about her precious memory with her grandfather too.
Prince Harry did come out in this documentary too.
Though I don't like him because of his and his wife's attitude, and what they have done to the family; Prince Harry is still Prince Philip and the Queen's precious grandson.
Harry and his grandfather really did have some bond...
It is sad to know that Harry is not continuing his military career. It is sad to know what he is doing in USA now.
What a waste.
But anyway, it was still touching to hear Harry talked about his grandpa.
I also realized that Prince Philip really had good nice organized handwriting!
He was talented in so many things.
I pray that the Queen is fine, healthy, and that she gets on well even after the death of her most beloved.
R.I.P. Prince Philip.
