I was keen to watch this drama since the first season came out but I never got the chance until yesterday.
Since I have nothing to do at home because of the corona virus ( everything is closed or not safe out side!) , guess what, I binged the entire first season!!
I’m not gonna waste my time here talking about every details.
So just gonna write who I like and who I dislike and my personal opinions that pop up in to my mind.
Personally, this drama is cool. Cool and entertaining but nothing as good as Game of Thrones of course.
Nothing can compare to that... but the human drama going on, family issue thing going on, it reminds me a bit of Game of Thrones's complicated family relationship, love, siblings, drugs(in GOT poisons) and all.
I would rate it 8 out if 10, which means I consider pretty good!
Lots of parties, sex, drugs, betrayals, murder, rich kids, fucked up kids,and parties and parties, lot of parties!
AND!! I think there will be incest in season 2.
I dislike many characters though.
So... originally I was trying to improve my Spanish by watching this in original language ( +English subtitle) but I gave up 10 mins later and changed to English Dub. Lol
I used to take Spanish as my second language in high school and college, I used to get straight A’s, always the best or second best in class... but now what am. I!?
I don’t remember anything and I cannot even speak anything except Hola Como Estas and Adios...
So I watched season 1 in English.
Interesting and unique story line. Reminds me a bit of my prep school although mine wasn’t that crazy. ( and more strict )
Still my school was International School and the most expensive school with aristocrats and international wealthy kids such as sons of diplomats, daughters of tycoons... and of course more ordinary people like me as well. No scholarship program for my prep school though (but if you are the teacher's kids, free tuition )
We had several problematic kids but of course none were as crazy as the ones in the drama.
No murder at least! lol
Reality and Fiction is different.
In this show, most of the kids are fucked up.
They are fucked up and fucked too much... lol
But let me say this clear.
My least favorite character died and I didn’t feel any pity of her.
Character I dislike the most in season 1 is Marina.
She deserved to die. Never like her that much.
Rebellious, cheap, spoiled, disrespectful, ungrateful, cheater and a fool.
She got HIV so what. It was her own fault for being cheap and falling in love too easy.
I really feel sorry for her parents.
I really really do.
If they were my parents, she would get disown immediately.
Her brother Guzmán was better than her but he was also irresponsible stupid fucker too.
Dick head, violent, hypocrite and cheater.
I never like how he treated his girlfriend Lu. She was there with him for so long. He just used her.
I feel sorry for Lu. She was a bitch too but she really deserved better.
And Nadia... I hate that kindda girl who tries to be all goody goody but just as mean and cunt.
Stop putting alcohol as an excuse. She was trying to seduce someone else’s bf.
Guzman was Lu’s boyfriend before she came.
Show some respect bitch! She's even worse in Season 2.
What a holy crap she is. I like Lu more than her.
But I do respect her for defending her gay drug dealer brother, but I hate her for many things.
Things with Guzmán, hypocrite, thinking she's better than the other but clearly she was not.
For an example, I hate her for being a cunt when she actually read out the message in class that Marina was HIV... I was like WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH THIS CUNT!
I never liked Marina but she didn’t deserve to be treated like that in class
Thanks to Nadia. One could only be retarded to actually read that out.
So I never never liked Nadia.
Maybe she's interesting fictional character, but somehow she just gets in my nerve.
As for guys, i hate Nano.
Nano and Marina. Fucking worst horrible couples!
Don’t feel sorry for them at all.
They both should have died or jailed.
Well, one ended up dead and one ended up jail. EXCELLENT JOB!
See... no matter how screw up your life is, you don’t go betray your own brother, friends, and rob in to rich people’s house and black mailing them.
If anyone does that to me or my family’s they will see hell worse that that. I guarantee.
No excuse, I can never tolerate that kindda acts in reality too.
Therefore I hate Nano and Marina. No Sympathy at all.
My favorite character is actually Carla.
The daughter of marquise!!
I see some Cersei Lannister in her.
Carla is fucked up cool bitch as well but I somehow like her.
Hot smart manipulative cold rich prideful bad ass bitch.
What I like most is that she actually puts family first.
She also didn't simply easily fall for guys. She was always in control.
How she tried to get back the watch, how she would save her own kind. I would do that too.
Family come first to me.
I don’t care if she fuck 1 guy or 100 guys.
As long as she is not blind in love.
As long as family come first.
I respect that kind of people.
Family come first, duty come first, love is next.
Even if there is love, love your own kind.
I hate Disney love story.
I am not super rich but I stick with my own kind and I have pride for that.
So I guess maybe I like characters like Carla and Cersei.
No matter how fucked up they are, they respect their family and they try to protect their family.
I would do the same for my family too.
I tend to like characters that I have something in common.
Especially with this kind of human drama, it's natural to me that I favor one character over another.
As for Lu...
I like her... but I just feel sorry for her.
She really deserved much better guy.
And gays... I am totally fine with gays.
This is 21st century.
Ander and Omer.... they are sweet but I don’t see bright future.
I hope they both become happy though...
But I feel their obstacle were not because they were gays but because of their religion and background diffidence...
As for Christian!!!
I liked him the best among the transfer students.
He is just funny...
Well, maybe not so .. in season 2...
But in season 1, he is just funny happy going guy.
His relationship with Carla and Polo was so messed up but interesting, not gonna judge it as long as they were happy.
So in the end of season 1, we found out the murderer of Marian was Polo!
Well, what the fuck was Marina’s problem. She has no right to steal people’s watch from the start.
She has no right to insult Polo too. No one was as worse as herself.
I think anyone would have killed Marina.
She was just.... eh, can’t put in word.
I hate that kindda person in reality and in movie too.
Irresponsible spoiled kid who victimized herself too much, never consider other people’s feeling, disrespecting towards parents till risking family’s lives.
Not my type totally. Cannot get along with that kindda people. So whoever that like Marina, Nadia and Nano, can go fuck off from here. LOL
Ok, that was a lot of swearing. haha.
That's the reason I don't really watch drama that goes deep in to human relationship because it can get messy and I would hae characters i hate and like pretty easily!!
This show is still cool though.
