『Game of Thrones』Season 1
Review 1
Review 1
I’m watching this whole amazing show for the 3rd time.
Starting from season 1 again!
So... I just finished watching Season 1 up to episode 7.
After watching the final season, I really thought I should watch it all over again.
Jaime and Cersei, the golden twins had tragic yet beautiful ending...
I’ve always liked Jaime and Cersei even though I never really supported what Cersei did.
However, she was still someone I really sympathized with.
So season 1 episode 1, Jaime and Cersei...
Great sex scene... lol
In the show, they were portrayed as forbidden lovers...
Same with the book as well.
However, the book also portrayed Jaime to be more dominant and obsessed over Cersei.
It was Jaime that desperately wanted to have sex with Cersei.
Most of the time it was Jaime.
At Winterfell, he demanded sex from her because he couldn’t stand not being able to feel her gorgeous body.
He couldn’t wait until they went back to the city, he just needed to have her.
Cersei even begged him to go hunting with her husband, yet he chose to stay behind so that he could fuck her in the tower. Cersei was very reluctant but she gave in....
And.... Bran saw.
Again it was NOT Cersei’s command that Jaime pushed him out of the window.
It was Jaime’s own stupid decision to do that...
The thing about Jaime was that some blind fans liked to beautified him but he was no Hero.
He was not manipulated by Cersei or victim of abuse.
Yes, there were times she was mean to him but so he was.
He always had his choices!!!
He was a man blessed with handsome look, talent in fighting, extreme wealth, great family, physical power and everything a man could dream of.
He could have everything ( except he couldn’t have Cersei as his wife, only thing he could not have)
Jaime had all choices in his life unlike Cersei. He was a strong man with storng mind. Cersei never forced him to do anything. She did command him as a queen but it was his own choice to obey her or not.
He didn’t really obey her anyway, even she was the queen.
He always had his opinon.
For an example, like I said previously, both in drama and in the book, she didn’t even ask him to throw Bran out of window.
He did many things with out the permission of the king or queen or father or sister.
He was a man with his own will. Impossible for Cersei to manipulate him.
Yes, there were times she was mean to him, but abusive?? Hmm... maybe yes and no. But if yes then Jaime the same too. He could be abusive. He was a guy that even Cersei said no 100 times, he would make her say yes.
That was stated in the book as well.
He was the dominant one in sex.
Again...
Don’t forget, it was him in the Winterfell that demanded to have sex with Cersei even though she didn’t want to. I wouldn’t be surprise if many times in their lives, Jaime was forceful and demanding in sex with Cersei. She was his twin and he felt she was his possession.
He was obsessed with her beauty and her body.
Sex, lust, jealousy....
He definitely loved her as sister ( twin) too, but sometimes lust and jealousy came first in his mind.
In the book, he was even jealous of his own son cuz he had more time with her breast.
I mean... oh my god... lol
He was jealous she was breast feeding their son.
In the book, he was possessed with the thought to beat her up just cuz she had sex with other men.
Scary brother who tried to beat his sister up for her affair.
Not knightly...
However in the drama, he was nicer...
I still love Jaime but he was never a saint nor a good man. He had his good side but just like most humans, he had both good and bad sides too... and he was a strong man both physically and mentally.
In season one, I had many favorite scene...
The twins sex of course...lol
But also the Lannister breakfast.
Jaime, Cersei and their sweet children having breakfast together and Tyrion came in and joined.
The scene was just beautiful.
Jaime was the prince and princess’s secret father, but in their eyes he was just their uncle Jaime.
So wrong!!!!
Yet so beautiful...
Another favorite scene was when Jaime was in Cersei’s room...
Jaime was also somehow dominant over Cersei...
Jaime grabbed Cersei rather violently, hugged her from behind and he whispered in her ears...
“The boy won't talk. And if he does, I'll kill him. Him, Ned Stark, the King, the whole bloody lot of them until you and I are the only people left in this world.”
So sexy...
That was so so wrong but he was so sexy....
His whisper was so sexy and powerful, yet so wrong...
The book was more detailed what sexy things happened after that but the drama did well too.
I could watch that scene over and over again.
The Lannisters have been driving me crazy lately... lol
What I liked about the actings were that both Jaime( nik) and Cersei (lena) were blessed with beautiful soft voices.
Let’s talk about other characters as well.
Season 1...
Sansa!!!
Funny none of my friends liked her in the beginning.
I liked her though!
She was naive but kind of power hungry than love blind...
All she wanted was to be the queen.
She was a responsible young lady and wanted her family to feel proud of her.
She thought it was love but the true was that she only wanted Joffery just cuz he was a handsome prince.
She didn’t know Joffery.
She only saw him from outside.
All she want was to become a beautiful queen, just like queen Cersei.
Interesting fact that Sansa actually admired Queen Cersei just because Cersei was beautiful, elegant, graceful and golden...
Sansa didn’t like the ugly King Robert but she admired the Queen...
How naive...
Sansa was naive young girl.
She was naive yet she was responsible and she tried her best to fulfill the role she was expected as a noble woman.
I liked her from the start.
Also very interesting honest comment that Sansa made about Joffery.
She totally ignored Robert... hahaha...
All she had been admiring was actually the Lannister beauty.
“He is not! He's not the least bit like that old drunken king”
”He’ll be the greatest king that ever was, a golden lion and I’ll give him sons with beautiful blond hair”
True honest opinion from the eyes of naive girl.
Lannister was the golden beauty.
Jaime was how a king should look like.
Jon said it in the book too.
Cersei was how a queen should look like... beautiful and elegant.
Sansa admired Cersei both in the book and drama.
Ironic that Jaime and Cersei, the golden twins had dark dark secret underneath their layers of beautiful golden masks...
....
So this was my third time watching but from the start, I actually never liked King Robert and Ned.
Well, frankly speaking, since I already knew the story from the book, I was never a fan of Ned Stark.
I never hated him and I still think he was a good fatherZ
I felt so sad for his daughters.
I’ve always sympathized with Sansa and Arya from the start so of course I felt sad what became of Ned...
However... the secret that Ned had been holding, the thing about his irresponsible love blind bitch sister who ran away with married prince, that bordered me.
I’ve always hated his irresponsible teenage runaway love blind sister and I could never sympathize with her at all but just plain disgust... I despised her! ( she and Rhaegar. The real evils in my eyes! Feel so sad for Elia Martel...)
She was not a kid but a teenager, yet she had no responsibility for her house and family.
Not honorable to run away with married prince.
She never thought how Elia would feel. Stealing people’s husband.
She only thought about herself, not even her family nor Robert nor any other people.
I have always hated people like that both in fiction and reality.
The thing about Cersei was that even she was selfish in some sense, she tried to do something for her family, she was trying to be responsible and made her family proud... same with Sansa, Myrcella, Margery, Elia Martel, Cathrine, Lysa and all other noble women!!!!!!!
They were responsible since teenagers!!!
As for Arya, she did not want to be a lady but she walked the path of sword. She worked her way out.
Not running off with an irresponsible mad man, who was also a married prince. They fucking caused disaster to the whole seven kingdoms!
So yah... I never like Romeo and Juliet but Rhaegar and Lyanna were much worse.
Good thing they didn’t come out so much in the show.
Worst couple ever. I despised them more than anything.
I could feel sorry for the forbidden love for Jaime and Cersei because they had bonds since birth and they were each other’s “first”...
But Rhaegar and Lyanna? Nah. Never.
Love at first fight? What a cheap love. First of all, he had a wife, children and kingdom he should be responsible of. She had fiancé and noble family she should be responsible of.
If they wanted to get married, they should have done it in clean fair way.
Not suddenly running away. Worst outcome.
Irresponsible stupid bitch Lyanna just died by childbirth and Ned had to keep her stupid promise.
Lied to his friend Robert, didn’t tell the true to his dear wife Cathrine and .... poor Jon.
Even though Jon’s true parents were shits, Jon was innocent.
No one could choose their parents anyway.
So I never hated Ned but I never liked Ned.
He was too soft on his irresponsible sister who risked the entire family members’ lives for her stupid runaway journey with “married” prince.
As for Robert, I hated him from the beginning.
A fat drunken king with a super bad taste in women, freaky abuser.
Because of him, i felt sorry for Cersei from the start.
I really couldn’t believe Cersei could tolerate him for 17 years!!!
JAIME could tolerate him abusing his true love for 17 years !??
Hmm...
My lil brother once told me that he did not understand how Jaime could tolerate Robert abusing his sister over those years. He said it didn’t have to be incest, but normal brother would feel anger towards the husband for abusing his sister too. My brother said he would kill Robert probably on the first night of marriage if he was Jaime... lol
Well, my sweet little brother has always been family guy.
He has always been very protective of me and my mother, more than my father ever was, so I guess he felt that way...
My brother actually doubt Jaime’s love for Cersei until the last scene.
He thought Jaime was a man that come and go...
A man who switch side whenever he liked and blamed every bad thing he did was for his sister when his sister never even asked him to do such things. ( such as throwing boy out of window)
My brother actually sympathized with Cersei more than Jaime.
But then he has always liked the relationship between Jaime and Tyrion.
He thought that was how brother should be.
He also said Jaime should be more brotherly to Cersei, instead of wanting to fuck her all the time
Since Cersei never had proper father love, Jaime should give her that kind of love... my brother said so.
Jaime was blessed with many things Cersei couldn’t have... so yah...
But even my brother who was skeptical about Jaime’s feelings towards Cersei came to like the drama ending.
Jaime went back for Cersei as a lover but also deeper than just a lover...
He went back for her as her twin, as her brother, as her soul mate...
He could have 1000 lovers in his life but he only had one twin.
So yes, he went back for her since he was her everything and she was his everything.
I really liked the drama ending too.
So back to season 1.
Robert died.
He deserved to die anyway.
However I felt abit sorry for him when he talked to Joffery.
That King really believed Joff was his son?
Hmmm...
I would actually feel a bit sorry for Robert if he knew Cersei and Jaime’s affair all along but he kept blind eye because he was financially in debts to the twins’ father.
Also maybe he felt some kind of pity for Cersei so he kept blind eye.
By whoring around, he released his stress of being cheated by his wife.
So I would actually feel sorry for Robert if he knew...
However how stupid, seemed like he really didn’t know... lol
He was just cruel, abusive and disrespectful to Cersei.
He was just a drunken ugly fat king exactly like what Sansa had described!!
So no, I never felt sorry for him.
Ironic that the only one right thing Robert was trying to do was ...
To kill the Dragon blood, kill Daenerys Targaryen...
Yes, she was still innocent in season 1...
But yah...
In the end, she would kill many innocents more than any villain could.
I actually supported Danny when I first watched GOT...
When I didn’t know the whole story...
She was such a sad abused child and she worked hard to came to power!!!
This was my third time watching GOT so I knew what evil she was capable of doing...
I still never hated her.
I came to like her less and less as seasons passed by... but I never hated her.
She was a great important character.
Danny, Cersei, Sansa...
I actually sympathized with them...
Going to continue watching !!

So beautiful.
So sad they died...
I hope they would finally be together in the after life.
You’re the true fan who actually have many perspectives!
You understand the story well and see each character in many perspective which many people fail to do.
It’s kindda sad to see Danny fans hating Cersei or the other way around, but you actually sympathize with them both. Sansa too!
I still love the golden twins the most though.
I wanna see them when they were just cheerful children living in casteryrock.
I wanna see them when they were born, age 4, age 5, age 6, age 7, age 8, every ages of their sweet childhood that probably taste like sweet summer.
I wanna see them when they were 10, 11, 12, when they start growing and start to look different...
I love them so much I wanna see every parts of their life.
