tonight ce soir
Ce soir mon mari et moi, nous sortons .
pour fêter la sainte-Valentine.
Tonight, my husband and I’re eating outside
to celebrate St.Valentine.
In France, it’s boys offer chocolates or (and )flowers
or if you want, a diamond ring or this sort of things
to girls. He invites her to have a dinner.
My husband says he’s never heard of White day.
Is it a Japanese custom ? Or that of U.S.A.?
Or a commercial one ?
Last year I bought chocolates (within a nicely
decorated with pink colored and
heart formed box)
saying it was popular in Japan
that girls offer chocolates to boys.
But of course I didn’t have any gift
from him on White day.
So this year it’s he who offers me
a dinner outside tonight.
When I write this in France, in Japan,
it’s already ten o’clock p.m.
I hope you enjoyed your Saint Valentine.
