灌仏会　　Kanbutsu-e is a Buddhist even






 

ほぼ4月8日で特定されつつ広まっています。花まつりや灌仏会（かんぶつえ）で甘茶を飲んだりかけたりと、全国の寺院仏閣でさまざまな仏事が行われる日でもあります。

 

灌仏会（かんぶつえ）は、釈迦如来が誕生した日である4月8日に行われる仏教行事です。この日は日本の伝統的な暦である旧暦では釈迦如来の誕生日であるとされ、日本の仏教界では重要な行事となっています。

灌仏会では、釈迦如来の誕生を祝い、またその教えを深く学ぶために、甘茶（かんちゃ）を飲んだり、仏像や仏具に甘茶をかけたりする儀式が行われます。また、多くの寺院では、法要や読経、坐禅などの修行が行われることもあります。
