Reimu's Pokémon blog (Japanese Pokémon trainer)

I had battled in Pokemon Sword and Shield’s Ranked Battles with ONLY Grass type Pokemon.
Grass type has many weak points (Fire, Ice, Poison, Insect, and Steel), so all the battles were thrilling!

Grass type’s natural enemy is Cinderace! So I prepared for it.
Almost all members can do something to Cinderace. For instance, My Rillaboon specialized in Defence, so that it can endure Cinderace’s G-Max Fireball with Life Orb!


Ranked Battles: 2 Wins and 3 Losses
Casual Battles: 4 Wins and 2 Losses
I wanted to win more than losses in the Ranked Battle. But the Grass type team is difficult!






〈Whimsicott〉

Ability: Prankster
Item: Leftovers
Nature: Timid
Moves: Moonblast, Charm, Substitute, Memento

(S: Faster than Hydreigon)

When an opponent sends out Cinderace, it can lower its Attack by Charm or Memento.
It’s a good supporter!


〈Rillaboon〉

Ability: Grassy Surge
Item: Grassy Seed
Nature: Impish
Moves: Grassy Glide, Knock Off, Body Press, Bulk Up

Unbelievable Defence!
Holding Grassy Seed, its Defence will rise when it is sent out in battles.
It can even bear G-Max Fireball of Cinderace holding a Life Orb!
(Grass type’s natural enemy is Cinderace. So almost all members are conscious of Cinderace.)


〈Cut Rotom〉
Base States: 50-65-107-105-107-86(Total 520)
Ability: Levitate
Item: Choice Scarf
Nature: Timid
Moves: Thunderbolt, Dark Pulse, Trick, Reflect
H60 B4 C244 D12 S188
(S: Faster than Dragapult)

Holding Choice Scarf, it’s faster than Cinderace. Reflect halves physical damages.
But it can hardly oppose Cinderace.
There were not so many opportunities to use it.


〈Ferrothorn〉

Ability: Anticipation
Item: Focus Sash
Nature: Adamant
Moves: Gyro Ball, Stealth Rock, Explosion, Thunder Wave

It is a rare case for Ferrothorn to hold Focus Sash. But it’s a good choice when it is used in the team with only Grass type.
Grass type’s weak points are Fire, Fling, Poison, Ice, and Bug. Stealth Rock is more effective to Fire, Fling, Ice, and Bug types that are Grass type’s bad opponents. There are only three Grass type Pokemon who can use Stealth Rock now! (Ferrothorn, Ferroseed, Delebi)
It can also defeat Cinderace by using Explosion!


〈Shiftry〉

Ability: Chlorophyll
Item: Occa Berry
Nature: Timid
Moves: Giga Drain, Dark Pulse, Sucker Punch, Heat Wave

It can Change the weather by Max Flere.Its Ability Chlorophyll will double Shiltry’s Speed when the weather is sunny.
But……
It should not change the weather to sunny. This team is weak to Fire type! (The harsh sunlight makes Fire type moves stronger)

I wanted it to be used as a Dynamax ace, but it had gone to battle not so many times...


〈Flapple〉

Moves: Outrage, Grassy Glide, Grav Apple, Dual Wingbeat

Great!
It’s the Dynamax ace!
Before the first battles, I thought that the Dynamax ace was Shiftry. But Flapple was much stronger than Shiftry. The combo of Ability Hustle and Dynamax is very good!

Boost its Speed by Max Airstream, and get a blow to activate Weakness Policy, lowering the opponent’s Attack by Max Wyrmwind. (Its Attack will be doubled)


I am beginning to dislike Cinderace. It is too strong for the team Grass type Pokemon only.
But I once succeeded in defeating Cinderace by Ferrothorn’s Explosion! It’s a nice pleasant feeling! (Of course, this team defeats Cinderase many times. Not this once)

Because it’s difficult to win, The pleasure of victory becomes larger than ordinary battles!
Grass type Pokemon have many weak types. So the battles are always thrilling! I enjoyed the battles, but my heart has been always thumping!
