Malaysian Bookstore Contains 1 Million Books
BookXcess, a Malaysian bookstore company, has opened a new store in Nusajaya, Malaysia. Located just 20 minutes from Singapore, the nearly 3,000 square-meter bookstore contains over 1 million books, making it the largest bookstore in Southern Malaysia.
The store, which is being called "The Box of Knowledge," features 7.5 meter-tall bookshelves that form the shape of a box in the center of the store.
Within the giant box is an area for young readers, called the Children's Cave. Some of the books, called "Magic Books," come with a free app that lets kids scan each page with a smartphone or tablet and watch the story come to life on the screen.
