Monrovia (AFP) - Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf announced a nighttime curfew from Wednesday and
the quarantine of two neighbourhoods, including one in the capital Monrovia, in a bid to stem the deadly Ebola outbreak
"Commencing Wednesday, August 20 there will be a curfew from 9:00 pm to 6:00 am (2100 to 0600 GMT)," Sirleaf said in a radio address late Tuesday."All entertainment centres are to be closed. All video centres are to be closed at 6:00 pm," she ordered.

Liberia said Tuesday it had found 17 Ebola patients who had fled an attack on their clinic, sparking a panicked

Wild rumours of cannibalism and people being drained of their blood in Ebola clinics have fuelled panic, with health workers saying the testimony of survivors was crucial to proving myths wrong.
Nallo Idrisa, who is recovering in a clinic in Kailahun, one of the worst-hit areas of Sierra Leone, told AFP, "At first people thought that when they got here they were going to have all their blood removed and they would die.
"I am much better, so when I get back to my community I will advise people to come here if it ever happens" to them, he added.
