Far backcountry life in Japan

Driving though country road in rise harvest season. This is still a national road even looks a narrow way.

Even though, people’s image of my house is in country mountainside, actually not so high altitude. One of famous highest mountain here is Yamizo-san. ‘San’ means mountain, so it is Yamizo Mountain. It is about 40 minutes drive from home and altitude is 1022m. Here, you have a view from Yamizo-san.

Done "Shinto Muso Ryu Jojyutsu" martial arts demonstration at Nippon Budokan as every this season. Nippon Budokan is located where it used to be part of Edo castle which is biggest castle in Tokyo or later Japan history. Jojyutsu or Jodo is one of the Japanese martial arts with stick made of oak about 128cm but let leave explanation here.

I have started some stone wall re-construction around gate house. It was there but already a few hundred years past and some stones are under deep in the soil. It may take a long time to complete all of them. No need to rush. Waited more than hundred years already anyway.
