Souvenir de Kyoto ... Kazariya Ryo

Following the last time,
I will introduce some reliable shop and souvenirs in Kyoto.
This week, I introduce Kazariya Ryo which is located in the north side of Kyoto City Hall where there are a lot of shops with a refined taste.
It is a small shop which sells silverwork mainly, located about 3 minutes on foot from Kyoto City Hall.
The inside of the shop is a small tatami flooring, accessories etc are lined up.
(Please take off your shoes, and look for your favorite.)
My recommendation is a bookmark of a cat.
Besides this, there are various designs such as monkeys and ginkgo leaves etc.
There are so cute and stylish items such as Obidome (clip of kimono belt), Netsuke (japanese accessory), mobile straps and so on.
Don't you try to keep a favorite one of them?

I will introduce some reliable shop and souvenir in Kyoto.
This week, I introduce a Karinto (fried dough stick cookies) specialty shop, Amenbo-Do which is located about 10 minutes on foot from JR Enmachi Station.
There are more than 20 kinds of Karinto in this shop.
Not all flavors, but you can also taste them.
From the top left, sesame flavor, kinako (roasted soybean flour) flavor, coffee flavor,
wasabi flavor, brown sugar flavor, cheese flavor
The recommendation is kinako flavor and cheese flavor!

This week, I introduce a souvenir shop Art Cube in Hosomi Art Museum in the Okazaki area that boasts many cultural facilities.
Hosomi Art Museum displays Japanese art including Buddha statues.
On the second basement of the museum, there is Art Cube collected splendid gems of Kyoto.
The recommendations are small plates drawn a puppy designed Jakuchu Ito.
In addition to this, have various small items are modern art and traditional ones such as Kiyomizu ware.
(These sweets is not in this shop.)
Even if you don't enter the museum, you can use only this shop.
It is an inconspicuous shop, but the assortment of goods is very good.

This week, I introduce a lacquerware store Zohiko located in Teramachi Street on the north side of Kyoto City Hall where lined with high sense shops.
The appearance of this shop is a exposed concrete.
As soon as you enter inside, fashionable lacquerwares are displayed in a gallery style on your left.
Japanese-style boxes and modern tablewares that are very refined design are displayed orderly.
This is one of my treasures, a set of cup, saucer and spoon.
(The time to drink hot cocoa with this set is my bliss.)
Everything is very beautiful, so every time I visit, I can't decide which I should buy.
There are also some expensive items, but even some products under 10,000yen will get a wonderful lacquerware that are more than your expected.
It is really recommended to everyone sensitive to beautiful things!

This week, I introduce a Japanese confectionery shop ”Daigokuden-Seien" facing Rokkaku-dori Street.
It is a shop famous for old fashioned castella and beautiful creative sweet beans jelly called 'Yokan'.
(The goodwill changes from time to time.)
Inside this shop, there is a Japanese style coffee shop, you can eat the monthly agar sweets called 'Amber stream', shaved ice and so on.
This is the amber stream in September ... It is grape taste.
(Everything is delicious, but personally, the amber stream of July is the most recommended.)
And, the souvenirs of recommendation in summer season are green 'Yuzu-shigure'
and yellow 'Lace-kan'.
Both of them looks like a jelly cake, but the taste and texture are also sweet beans jelly.
Sweetness is modest and refined citrus flavor.
It is a taste that you can feel 'I am in Kyoto right now.'
It is more delicious when you eat after cooling it with a refrigerator.
Finally, I introduce an old-fashioned castella.
This is the cake which I always buy.
There is not flashy, but there is classic dignity, and the texture of small granulated sugar attached below is splendid.
You can store this cake for approximately one week in a room.

The first time of this series, I introduce "Bantera" just moved near Nishiki market.

This store sells bamboo and wooden accessories, dishes, cutlery etc.
The interior coordinated in natural color has a sense of cleanliness and is very comfortable.
My recommendation is not miso soup ... is chopsticks and chopsticks stand.

The morning at Ginkaku-ji is very refreshing.

It is a small temple that is always covered with tranquility.
When I go to this temple, it makes me feel like time has stopped.
