Following the last time,

I will introduce some reliable shop and souvenir in Kyoto.


This week, I introduce a Japanese confectionery shop ”Daigokuden-Seien" facing Rokkaku-dori Street.



It is a shop famous for old fashioned castella and beautiful creative sweet beans jelly called 'Yokan'.
(The goodwill changes from time to time.)

Inside this shop, there is a Japanese style coffee shop, you can eat the monthly agar sweets called 'Amber stream', shaved ice and so on.

This is the amber stream in September ... It is grape taste.
(Everything is delicious, but personally, the amber stream of July is the most recommended.)


And, the souvenirs of recommendation in summer season are green 'Yuzu-shigure'


and yellow 'Lace-kan'.


Both of them looks like a jelly cake, but the taste and texture are also sweet beans jelly.

Sweetness is modest and refined citrus flavor.

It is a taste that you can feel 'I am in Kyoto right now.'

It is more delicious when you eat after cooling it with a refrigerator.


Finally, I introduce an old-fashioned castella.

This is the cake which I always buy.

There is not flashy, but there is classic dignity, and the texture of small granulated sugar attached below is splendid.


You can store this cake for approximately one week in a room.
