2017 No.1 Tofuku-ji Temple
The ranking No.1 of 2017 is Tofuku-ji Temple.
The autumn leaves of Tofuku-ji Temple are sometimes not beautiful depending on the weather, but in 2017, it showed us perfect beauty.
One of the features is that you can enjoy stunning autumn leaves before entering the precincts.
The magnificent cathedral and the splendid autumn leaves' co starring ... It is a scenic view you can see only here.
In 2017, Kyoto was wrapped in the most vivid autumn leaves in recent years, and it became a very gorgeous autumn leaves season.
In 2018, the renovation work of the building is going to finish at some autumn colors sights, so it seems that you can enjoy the more spectacular autumn leaves!
Please come to Kyoto without hesitation this year!

The ranking No.1 of 2017 is Tofuku-ji Temple.

2017 No.2 Jojakko-ji Temple
In 2017, Jojakko-ji Temple made us enjoy not only vivid autumn leaves but also the scenic landscapes that used the cliff in the precincts.
Around Nioh-mon Gate is anyway colorful!
Red maples are arranged around the bell tower and the main hall.
Around the Pagoda, you can see red, orange and green maple.
Colorful leaves such as red, yellow, orange and green are beautifully scattered in the precincts like natural forest which used the cliff effectively.
Really beautiful!

2017 No.3 Eikan-do Temple
In 2017, Eikan-do Temple showed us vivid autumn leaves as usual.
The gorgeous autumn leaves are so wonderful, but the crowds are terrible in the past few years.
It is overwhelmed by the large number of maple trees, but the individual Maple tree is also beautiful in vividness.
If you want to see the red forest, please go to Eikan-do Temple by all means in 2018!

2017 No.4 Hogon-in Temple
In 2017, Hogon-in Temple showed us rich autumn leaves.
You can sence wonderful vivid colors and beautiful lights and shadows that is composed with autumn leaves, water, stones and architectures.
It was also excellent vividness as with other autumn foliage attractions.
You can see this gorgeous view even from outside of the fence.
There is no reason not to see inside this wall.

In 2017, Hogon-in Temple showed us rich autumn leaves.
You can sence wonderful vivid colors and beautiful lights and shadows that is composed with autumn leaves, water, stones and architectures.
It was also excellent vividness as with other autumn foliage attractions.
You can see this gorgeous view even from outside of the fence.

The autumn colors of Ryoan-ji Temple in 2017 were spectacular.
A maple beside the main gate also showed vivid color as usual.
There is beautiful scenery with full of taste around the yudofu (bean curd boiled in thin broth) restaurant in this garden.
In December, you can see beautiful scattered red leaves in the rock garden.
The abstract beauty of the rock garden and the vivid colors of autumn leaves show us a splendid art space.

This year, Tenju-an Temple showed us wonderful autumn leaves as usual.
Especially, in the vicinity of the rock garden, we were able to see more vivid autumn leaves than usual.

2017 Ranking No.8 Kiyomizu-dera Temple
This year, the autumn colors at Kiyomizu-dera Temple was somewhat less powerful than other autumnal leaves that showed more vividness than usual.
However, vivid autumnal leaves were seen around the pagoda, and it was crowded with many tourists.
This year there was renovation work of the main hall, we could not have enjoyed the famous superb view, but the colorful autumn leaves were beautiful.

This year's autumn leaves at Komyo-ji Temple were more vivid than last year.
The only disappointment was that it overlapped with the renovation work of Chokushi-mon Gate, one of the highlights.
Still, another highlight, the approach covered with Maple showed us the beauty as usual.
Many highlights are scattered around the wide precincts.
Next year the renovation of Chokushi-mon Gate is over and it seems that you can see more brilliant autumn leaves.
