can only imagine how much Touma came off as a Marty Stu to people who have only watched Railgun. I mean, you have this random guy who only showed up once or twice in the first season - hell, he wasn’t even named - suddenly become the main character of the middle of S, figures out the whole Sisters plot damn near instantly, conveniently has the perfect ability to fight Accelerator -who Mikoto could not scratch - while reducing the actual main character to a Damsel in Distress, and solved the whole problem in one fight, when Mikoto accomplished nothing no matter what she did. Oh, and he also became the main Love Interest. I’m glad I watched Index before this, or else I would’ve been more pissed than I was impressed.

Actually touma should just grab him the first chance he has with his right hand. Then just punch the shit out of accelerator with other hand. Accelerator could also one shot him the first moment

The second a human loses their comfort zone, the more simplistic their actions become" - Accelerator
"The more you become upset, the less you can focus." -Index
I think these quotes match exactly what Accelerator is going through right now

This fight was amazing. I thought the fight in the original was a little lack luster, but the animator/director in Railgun S did an incredible job recreating this fight, not only from a writing point of view, but also from an animation perspective. This whole fight is choreographed brilliantly, every hit Toma makes has more of an impact, and Accelerators wind control was animated much better than in Index I. In regards to the writing, not only do we get to see this fight from Toma's perspective, but from Accelerators as well, which was a great idea considering how favored a character Accelerator is in this franchise. That whole part where Accelerator learns how to control wind was brilliantly written, he states that fighting someone strong is the best way to level up, meaning he acknowledged Toma as a worthy opponent, he was even scared when Toma stood up after taking that tornado. And Accelerators reaction when he realized Toma could touch him was realistic and much better than the previous version. This whole fight was fantastic and this trend is continued in Index II, where we see Toma's experience really show in his brawls. This fight is one of the best I've ever seen that isn't in the big 3 (Naruto, One
