California to spend $116.5 million in cash, gifts for those who get COVID-19 vaccinations
In what appears to be the largest inoculation incentive in the nation, California announced it is boosting its COVID-19 vaccination efforts by offering the chance for 10 vaccinated residents to win $1.5 million apiece.
The $116.5-million incentive program will also include $50,000 cash prizes for 30 vaccinated Californians and $50 gift cards for the next 2 million fully vaccinated residents.
