L.A. County announces new vaccination rules for sporting events, theme parks and bars
Los Angeles County will require proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a recent negative coronavirus test to enter Dodger and SoFi stadiums as well as Major League Soccer venues for events with more than 10,000 people, the public health director confirmed. Those venues, as well as any outdoor setting with such a large attendance - including theme parks and arenas - will be subject to new, stricter requirements beginning next month.
The new L.A. County health order also stipulates that proof of COVID-19 vaccination will be required at indoor bars, wineries, breweries, nightclubs and lounges; a negative coronavirus test cannot be used to enter.

Mayor Breed criticized by health experts for going maskless in S.F. club
Several public health experts criticized Mayor London Breed Friday over images of her singing and dancing maskless in a live music venue this week − a violation of San Francisco’s indoor mask mandate.
Though cases are falling and vaccination rates increasing in San Francisco, one public health expert called Breed’s behavior a “lapse in judgment” that could hurt her credibility as she steers the city through the latest phase of the coronavirus pandemic.

Real estate heir Robert Durst is convicted of murder in the death of his close friend Susan Berman
A jury on Friday convicted Robert Durst of murder in the death of Susan Berman, finding true the prosecution's case that Durst, heir to a Manhattan real estate empire, shot Berman in the back of the head in 2000 to keep her from telling police about the death of his wife nearly two decades earlier.
For five months, jurors in an Inglewood courtroom heard testimony from prosecution witnesses, watched hours of Durst's recorded interviews with law enforcement and filmmakers, scrutinized documents and, finally, heard from Durst himself.
