「デザインと倫理」この本の一章を執筆しました。とても重要なテーマですが、関連書籍が少なく、教科書になるような本がありませんでした。そこで、オーストラリアの大学でデザイン・建築を教えている先生方が中心になって、この本が出版される運びとなりました。

実は他の執筆者の章をまだ読めていません。一緒に勉強するような形でオンラインサロンの開催を考えています。オフ会は基本的に京都・大阪・神戸で開催予定です。でも、会員が増えたら他の地域での開催も検討してみます。出来ればテーマに関するツアー・見学会も実施したいです。

サロンの運営の方法はいろんな意見を聞いてから、検討しますが、「コミュニティ」と「コンテンツ」の関係については以下の記事が参考になりました！

要点は以下の３つのようです。

★息の長いコミュニティは定期的なコンテンツ発信の場をもっている
★コミュニティで重要なのはそのコミュニティの「共通言語」
★人同士が集まっても、共通言語がなければ新しいものを生みだせない

記事を更新しながら考えていきたいと思います。

日本の著名建築家がロンドンの公園内に建てるパビリオンに無給（週6日、1日13時間労働、自分でPCとソフトウェアを用意）のインターンを使うことが問題視され、英国王立建築家協会(RIBA)がインターン等の労働条件を見直すことになりました。今後、日本流のブラックな労働慣行を強いる建築家やデザイナーは国際コンペから排除されることになるでしょう。

具体的な数字までは知りませんでしたが、日本で建築デザインの業界で一流になるまでは相当の薄給だというのは理解していました。今回は、この日本の業界内の「常識」が白日の下に晒され、欧州では大変な騒ぎになっています。

私はこの記事を最初、英ガーディアン紙で読んだのですが、日本でこの一件が報道されたかどうかは知りません。ただRIBAに続き他の世界の名だたるデザイン賞でも同様にガイドラインが書き換えられると思います。芸能界でもそうですが、日本のビジネス界の「人権感覚」は今後、日本企業が海外進出する、あるいは外国人労働者を受け入れる際に大きな障害となるでしょう。

また日本語で発信されるメディア情報だけに頼っていると、このような重要な動きを見逃してしまう事もあります。日本の建築デザイン関係者は、今回の告発を受けて、ぜひ業界内の常識を見直して欲しいと思いました。
