Following the last time, I introduce summer Kyoto with the keyword "green".
This time, I introduce Temples in Ohara.
First, it is Hosen-in Temple which is famous for a picture frame garden.
The power of a big pine "Goyo-Matsu" is amazing, but the bamboo forest next door is also beautiful.
Next, it's a nunnery temple "Jakko-in Temple" in about 20 minutes on foot from Ohara bus stop.
It's a small temple, but the stairs covered with beautiful green maples are a must-see.
Finally, it's Ohara's representative temple "Sanzen-in Temple".
When you are walking in the precincts, you will feel like taking a walk in the woods.
At lunch time, everyone is relaxing here ...
It takes about 1 hour by bus from Kyoto Station.
The strength of the sun is almost the same with the city area of Kyoto, but the refreshingness of the air is completely different.
When you get into the shade for a moment, you will feel comfortable coolness.

Following the last time, I introduce summer Kyoto with the keyword "green".
This time, I introduce Around Gion that is a center of the Kyoto sightseeing.
First, it’s Gion Shirakawa where luxury restaurants and inns lined up.
Bright green highlights the beauty of tasteful townhouses and the flow of clean water.
Next, is Forever Museum of Contemporary Art, Gion-Kyoto facing Hanami-koji Street which is the main street of Gion.
The Works of contemporary artist Yayoi Kusama are on exhibition.
And, don't miss the beautiful garden and the powerful wooden buildings as well.
Finally, this is A row of willow trees along Shirakawa River in front of Chion-in Temple.
There are no railings or guardrails along the river, it's a very familiar waterfront.
The willows along the river shut out the field of your vision moderately, lets you imagine old cityscape.
Kyoto is still in the hot weather.
It may be like a Kyoto's style to spend a little time at a café facing waterside or green in the city centre.

This is Kyoto colored in green... Komyo-in Temple

Following the last time, I introduce summer Kyoto with the keyword "green".
This time, I introduce Komyo-in Temple which is a Tatchu of Tofuku-ji Temple.
(Tatchu is sub-temple on the site of the main temple.)
In this dry landscape garden, dynamism is mixed with quietness.
The garden was designed by modern landscape architect Mirei Shigemori.
Especially, the garden seen from the room is so beautiful like a movie scene.
When I come here, I always take this cut...
On the philosophy of this temple, it's not good to attract attention. So, they have no homepage.
But the outstanding beauty is a must-see.
