2016 Ranking No.9 Shosei-en Garden
The image above is Shosei-en Garden which is located in about 10-minute walk from Kyoto Station.
It's the cherry blossom attraction should visit first when you arrive at Kyoto Station.

Cherry trees are not a lot, but there is no excessive directing,
I'm sure you will be brought to peaceful feeling.
You will be able to see Kyoto Tower in the vicinity.
It is a great place as well as a Japanese garden not only cherry blossoms.
It is recommended by all means for those who want to see cherry blossoms in Kyoto unique!

So, I tried to put the rankings of cherry blossom attractions in Kyoto!
2016 Ranking No.10 Ninnaji Temple
In the garden of Ninna-ji Temple, the cherry trees called Omuro-zakura are planted.
This variety is slow flowering compared with other varieties.
Usually, this variety becomes in full bloom in mid-April.
It's only here that we can see such many Omuro-zakura flowers.
These cherry trees has a lower height than the other varieties,
most is less than 3m in height.
So, you can enjoy a unique flower viewing that can experience only here.
The cherry blossoms of Ninna-ji Temple inform us the end of cherry blossom season in Kyoto.
Entrance fee
High school students or older : 500 yen
Middle school or elementary school students : 200 yen

These images are Haradani-garden which is located in about
a 30-minute walk from Ninna-ji Temple.
So many weeping cherry blossoms and various flowers
show us the spectacle of a masterpiece.
These images are Mii-dera Temple which is located in about 30 minutes
by train from the city of Kyoto (located in Otsu city, Shiga Prefecture).
This is one of the most beautiful and powerful attraction in and around Kyoto.
These images are Shosei-en Garden which is located in about
a 10-minute walk from Kyoto Station.
It is a wide and valuable garden in the center of Kyoto.
These images are Daigo-ji Temple in the southern part of Kyoto.
You will be able to experience dynamic cherry blossoms.
Finally, These images are Shin-en Garden of Heian-jingu Shrine.
This garden was designed by Jihee Ogawa Ⅶ
who is a genius landscape architect in about 100 years ago.

This time, Tatchu of Myoshin-ji Temple, is Taizo-in Temple.
(Tatchu is sub-temple on the site of the main temple.)
This garden was made in about 50 years ago.
This is a great garden emphasizes the perspective.
This is called Motonobu's garden.
It was designed by Motonobu Kano who was a genius painter about 500 years ago.
This is the garden of Onmyo (it meens negative and positive, or light and shadow).
There is a marvelous weeping cherry here.
So I can not wait this year's cherry blossom season.
By the way, According to the forecast,
the flowering date of cherry blossom in Kyoto is 3/21 (Mon).
So, the best time to see would be 10 days from the 3/26 (Sat).
Incidentally, you will be able to enjoy just to walk in Myoshin-ji temple's region,
because the Myoshin-ji Temple is a very large temple with the greatest size in Kyoto city.
