この本は実は日本へ来る外国人向けの
日本語の語句と単語の本なんです。
でも、これ、英語で書かれているので
実は日本人向けのフレーズブックとしても
使えちゃうんですね。
外国人向けだけあって
本当に実用的なフレーズが満載です。
この分野でも
まだまだ、日本の出版は遅れているなあと
思います。
挨拶の仕方から、
レストランや寿司屋での注文の仕方、
果ては、異性への褒め言葉の言い方
やんわりと、異性からの誘いを断る言い方
やんわりと、角をたてずに異性を誘う言い方
なんてのまで乗っています。（笑）
言葉のニュアンスについての
解説も面白い。
丁寧な大人の感じとか
友達同士でのみ使うべきフレーズとか。
