Government report on unidentified flying objects couldn't explain more than 140 cases but didn't find evidence of extraterrestrials
The largely inconclusive results of the report, which was required by Congress and released Friday by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, are sure to fuel Americans’ long-running interest in what the government calls unidentified aerial phenomena, which have received unprecedented attention in recent years from officials and lawmakers. In almost all of the 144 cases that a team of government experts examined, a lack of data stymied their efforts to say definitively what they were.
