The gunman who fatally shot 8 people at a FedEx facility in Indianapolis was a former employee, a company spokesman said.

A spokesman for FedEx confirmed that “the perpetrator was a former employee at the facility,” but few other details had emerged about the background of the gunman, a young man who officials believed was armed with a rifle and killed himself almost immediately after the shooting.
