Piedmont man charged with manslaughter after allegedly leaving a dying man at the scene of a hit-and-run
On Wednesday, nearly two months after Gregory Turnage Jr. was killed in a hit-and-run while walking on an Oakland sidewalk, Alameda County prosecutors charged Timothy Hamano with felony manslaughter.
The driver allegedly left the scene on foot, according to witnesses and Oakland police investigators, leaving behind a gravely injured Turnage as well as the driver's wife, who remained in the front passenger seat behind a deployed airbag.
