Baker announces "VaxMillions" lottery program, offering $1 million cash prizes and scholarship grants to boost vaccination rates

State officials on Tuesday said residents who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 will have the chance to win $1 million in a special Lottery sweepstakes, or, for those aged 12 to 17, a $300,000 scholarship grant.
In a statement, Governor Charlie Baker’s office unveiled the Massachusetts VaxMillions giveaway program aimed at convincing as many people as possible to get the shots.
