Microsoft says Russian cyber spies hacked its network, viewing potentially valuable source code
The Redmond, Wash.-based tech giant said Thursday that hackers penetrated its system further than previously known. In a blog post, the company said that a Microsoft employee account was hacked, enabling the adversary to view source code, or the DNA of its proprietary software. The firm did not specify what type of source code was accessed but said it was not modified.
