Business jet crashes near Truckee-Tahoe Airport, 3 dead
A twin engine jet that was approaching for landing at the Truckee-Tahoe Airport crashed on Monday afternoon and the three people on board were killed, officials said.
The plane was a Challenger 605 aircraft and slammed into a wooded area alongside the second hole of Truckee’s Ponderosa Golf Course on Reynolds Way. It came to a halt between two homes, witnesses said, and a small fire was extinguished shortly afterward.
