U.S. will restrict travel from eight countries over concerns about coronavirus variant found in South Africa
The policy, which goes into effect Monday, was implemented out of “an abundance of caution in light of a new COVID-19 variant circulating in Southern Africa,” a White House official said. The European Union, Britain, Japan and Israel have set restrictions for air travelers arriving from southern Africa.
