Two of the 17 American and Canadian nationals kidnapped in Haiti have been released, U.S. aid group says
Ohio-based Christian Aid Ministries said Sunday it had learned that two of the 17 foreigners kidnapped outside Port-au-Prince on Oct. 16 have been released. The missionaries, who include 16 Americans and one Canadian, were kidnapped by the powerful street gang 400 Mawozo, which has demanded a $1 million ransom for each victim. The U.S., Canadian and Haitian governments have been working toward their release.
