House votes to censure Rep. Gosar, remove him from committees over violent anime video depicting Ocasio-Cortez’s killing
Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said that the decision to discipline Rep. Paul A. Gosar (R-Ariz.) and remove him from his committees was appropriate because he had made threats about harming a member of Congress. Gosar recently posted an altered anime video that depicted him killing Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) and swinging two swords at President Biden. Gosar said he wasn't promoting violence and that the video was not "dangerous or threatening."
