More than 500 locations available in Mass. to get children ages 5 to 11 vaccinated against COVID-19, Baker says

BREAKING NEWS ALERT
Governor Charlie Baker and public health specialists on Thursday implored parents to get their 5- to 11-year-old children vaccinated against COVID-19 now that the federal officials have greenlighted the Pfizer jab for that age group, stressing there are more than 500 locations statewide for young kids to get inoculated.
Appointments can be made on the state’s website and families can also contact their pediatricians directly, Baker said.
One more regulatory hurdle remains: On Tuesday, advisers to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will make more detailed recommendations on which youngsters should get vaccinated, with a final decision by the agency’s director expected shortly afterwards.
