CDC advisers recommend nation’s first coronavirus vaccine for children ages 5 to 11. The agency's sign-off is expected within hours.
CDC Director Rochelle Walensky is expected to adopt the group’s recommendation later Tuesday, allowing providers to begin giving the two-shot Pfizer-BioNTech regimen as early as Wednesday. White House officials have said they expect pediatric vaccinations to be in full swing next week.
