Alec Baldwin discharged prop gun that killed woman on movie set, sheriff says
Actor and producer Alec Baldwin fired the prop gun on a movie set that killed the film's photography chief and injured the director, according to the Santa Fe County Sheriff's Office.
Authorities said a 42-year-old woman was airlifted to a hospital, where she died, and a 42-year-old man was getting emergency care at another hospital.
Production has been halted on the western movie "Rust," which is being directed by Joel Souza and produced by Baldwin.
