A blast at an Afghan mosque killed at least 37 people. It was the second week in a row that an attack struck a Shiite place of worship.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack, which also wounded more than 70 people, in the southern city of Kandahar. A similar strike last week that killed more than 40 people was claimed by the Islamic State.
