Texas's six-week abortion ban again in effect after swift action by appeals court
A federal appeals court late Friday reinstated the nation’s most restrictive abortion law, which bars the procedure as early as six weeks into pregnancy with no exceptions for rape or incest.
A lower-court judge had suspended the ban late Wednesday, calling it an "unprecedented and aggressive scheme to deprive" citizens of their constitutional rights.
