U.S. economy added 194,000 jobs in September, another weak month heading into final stretch of 2021
The labor market had shown signs of snapping back quickly earlier this year, but it softened in the late summer amid fears about a resurgence of the coronavirus pandemic. Washington's political leaders are split over how much assistance to offer the economy at this stage in the recovery.
