L.A. County begins COVID-19 booster shots for teachers, healthcare workers and at-risk residents
Los Angeles County is now offering COVID-19 vaccine boosters, health officials say, marking a significant new step in the effort to armor the population against the still-potent pandemic.
The county's swift move follows federal recommendations that certain older or high-risk residents can receive a third dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine at least six months after their initial inoculation series.
