“It’s only a fly. It won’t hurt you.” But maybe this time it will.

Stella is happy with her quiet life on a sheep farm in Wasdale. Her husband sells some of their lambs to a company at nearby Sellafield. She has never asked why they need lambs. Unknown to her, a tightly guarded experiment is hidden inside the nuclear complex.

Marcus Delamere says that the public doesn’t care. He believes that they’re happy as long as they feel safe, and don’t have to think too hard. Mr Delamere knows that terrorists have made the old rules of warfare obsolete, and he doesn’t have time to wait for politicians to change them.

When Stella’s life is in turmoil, she wants some answers. She wants the truth, but the truth can be dangerous in wartime.
