Ex-Minneapolis police officers charged in George Floyd’s death will be tried separately, judge rules
The district court judge overseeing the criminal case into George Floyd’s death, announced that Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis police officer filmed with his knee on Floyd’s neck, will stand trial beginning March 8, at a downtown Minneapolis courthouse.
The other three ex-officers charged in Floyd’s death − J. Alexander Kueng, Thomas K. Lane and Tou Thao − will stand trial Aug. 23.
