Exhibition of Inconvenience of Expression
The Tokyo Executive Committee announced that the special exhibition "Exhibition of Inconvenience of Expression, After" which was canceled at the International Art Festival "Aichi Triennale 2019" held in Aichi Prefecture in 2019 will be reorganized and will be held at the gallery "Session House Garden" in Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo from 25th to 4th of next month as "Exhibition of Non-Expression/ Tokyo Exhibition".
According to the executive committee, a statue of a girl symbolizing the so-called "ianhu", which was flooded with protests at the Aichi Triennale, will also be on display.
Freedom of expression should be guaranteed, but I don't think many people will be emphasizing and displaying things they find offensive.
However, the right not to see is guaranteed to the people if it is an event which dares to express the one which feels unpleasant.
I don't see.
