重光葵（しげみつまもる）とその時代

昭和２０年９月２日ミズーリ号上で重光は首席全権として調印した。
重光葵は外交官として活躍し、１９４５年（昭和２０年）８月、東久邇宮内閣で三度目の外相となり、首席全権として降伏文書に調印した。戦後はＡ級戦犯として服役後、鳩山内閣で副総理兼外相となり、１９５７年（昭和３２年）１月２６日に亡くなった。本年は没後５０年にあたる。重光葵の御遺族から憲政記念館へ寄託された関係資料を中心にして、重光葵の足跡を回顧し、昭和の動乱から国連へ加盟するのまでを紹介する。
