2017 The ranking of cherry blossom attractions in Kyoto!

This time is ...
2017 Ranking No.9 Takase-gawa River
This year, we had many cherry-blossom viewing under rainy weather.
However, the cherry blossoms along Takase-gawa River are recommended for rainy day.
Here is a tasteful waterfront in the city center of Kyoto, Machiya houses (townhouses) along the river are must-see.
The night life in Kiyamachi area, the entertainment district of Kyoto, can not explain without Takase-gawa River.
When you walk a little and come near Oike street, you can take a walk slowly, because there is a little traffic.
Along the river, there are also many restaurants (all budget is OK!) that are introduced on TV etc, and it is lighted up at night, so it is also recommended for dinner.

This year, the flowering time was delayed, and rainy or cloudy days are also many,
so it took a bit of hardship for photography.

2017 Ranking No.10 Heian-jingu Shrine
This is a Shin-en Garden in Heian-Jingu Shrine.
The contrast with the cherry pink and the green roof or the vivid vermilion on the building is so wonderful.
This garden was designed by Jihee Ogawa Z who is a genius landscape architect in about 100 years ago.
The cherry tree shelves are tasteful too.
The flowering time is slightly slower, so the best time to see continues until the middle of April.

Following the last time, I tried picking up 4 places as the best time information of this weekend.
At first, this is Mii-dera Temple that is a temple located in Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture that is adjacent to the Kyoto City.
There is Lake Biwa Canal near here, in conjunction with the precinct of Mii-dera Temple, these form a vast cherry attraction.
Next, is Tenryu-ji Temple in Arashiyama area.
The view from the top of the cliff is so wonderful!
Next, is red weeping cherry trees in Heian-Jingu Shrine (Shin-en Garden).
It will be the peak this weekend!
Next, it is Haradani-en Garden.
There are many red weeping cherry trees here, and these are still 50% to 70% blooming condition as of 4/14.
You are able to enjoy cherry blossom viewing during next week!
Finally, I present two images of night view as appendix.
The night view of cherry blossoms in To-ji Temple is one of the most beautiful scenery in Kyoto.
The night in Gion has been filled with sophisticated beauty.
Next week, I will post "2017 The ranking of cherry blossom attractions in Kyoto! ...by personal preference"
Look forward to!

The best time to see the cherry blossoms in Kyoto has been delayed than usual.
However, these have began to show glamorous appearance finally.
So this time, I tried picking up 8 places as the best time information of this weekend.
First of all, it is a weeping cherry tree at Sannen-zaka Steps near Kiyomizu-dera Temple.
The full bloom of this cherry tree was already past the peak, but this tree always shows us a tasteful appearance.
By the way, the cherry blossoms at Kiyomizu-dera Temple are going to be in full bloom in this weekend.
Next, is the cherry blossoms are in a former site of a residence of Konoe family in the north-west part of Kyoto Imperial Palace.
Although this place's peak is over, it seems to be enjoyable enough this weekend.
Next, is Shosei-en Garden which is located in about 10-minute walk from Kyoto Station.
Here also has passed the peak, but some cherry trees are going to be in full bloom from now on!
Next, is Takase-River which is the most popular cherry blossom viewing place in the center of Kyoto.
This is the best time to see! It is even more beautiful in rainy weather!
Next is Hirano Shrine near Kitano Tenman-gu Shrine.
Although the quality of Kyoto is not felt so much, it's enough to see that the cherry blossoms are in full bloom in the whole precinct.
Next, is Toji-Temple which I gave the first place in last year's ranking of cherry blossom attractions in Kyoto.
At night, Fuji-zakura cherry tree has bewitching beauty.
Next, is daring cherry trees in Daigo-ji Temple.
Fortunately, it's in full bloom all at once in the wide precincts in this year.
It's the best recommended of this weekend!
Finally, is the cherry trees in Gion Shirakawa.
This year, the best time to see has been pretty delayed, but this weekend is going to be the peak time!
