Dan & Blair
Everyone is entitled to their opinion so here is my personal opinion based on some facts from the TV series.
Dan and Blair, not my favorite couple but I liked them too.
I am Blair centric fan so I really enjoyed ALL of Blair’s romantic relationship. I liked all the guys who loved and helped Blair in her life one way or another.
I am Blair’s fan before anything. Though, Dan and Blair was more of Dan→Blair
He wrote a whole damn book about her.
He helped her so many times despite all the mean bossy things she said to him.
Blair liked Dan as a friend. But he confessed his love for her. I think she dated him because she wanted him to be happy. He helped her so much when she was weak and lost.
Not only the book but he even wrote her wedding vows. No doubt he really loved her & cared for her.
Not Blair’s for sure; but I think the love of Dan life was Blair, though Blair went back to Chuck so eventually turned out to be Happy Ending for everyone and I love the Ending!
I hated Serena all along even before season 1 (despite being funny sometimes) so karma back to her but for the first time, I actually felt sorry for her in season 5.
I also got to see the very jealous insecure side of Serena and her love for Dan. Just like others, even Serena also sometimes couldn’t get what she wanted. So I started to see more of that side of her which made me change my opinion on her. Just a little.
Dating Dan was necessary experience for Blair in her life. Too many life changing incidents for Blair at that time. Pregnancy and losing the baby etc. She wanted love and peace. Dan gave her both love and peace.
Doesn’t mean he was the love of her life.
It just made her realized the love of her life was Chuck (at least in TV series. In the book it was Nate all along).
So Dan and Blair was interesting couple and very fun to me in many ways.
