Let's take the first step!
As I wrote in this blog in Japanese before, the definition of 英語がペラペラ is unclear among us.

In other words, we don't know where to go. It's not easy to improve your English without a clear goal.
Recently, I wrote about this, too.

Even if you understand my point, you may still think you don't know where to start. When you google something related to English, you will find tons of learning materials. Actually, a short movie clip on YouTube will be the learning material. You'll find something wherever you go. Type something related to an English lesson. Then you will find many YouTubers.

What are you going to do with English?
Learning English.
It is a kind of eternal theme for Japanese.
I think the main reason is we do not have to use English in our daily life.
Thus, most of Japanese will experience difficulties for speaking English when we go abroad.
Although we learn it for a long time, approx 10 years, if graduated from university, it is not
easy for many of us to order something at a restaurant in a foreign country.
For a certain amount of companies, I heard English test (TOEIC) is included in one of conditions for promotion.
This isn't the story for small businesses. It happens at big companies in Japan.
It is unbelievable for me that a salary is increased by English test. However, I can see companies want
employees to learn English for international businesses.
So, even if we became a member of society, this theme is sticking around us.
By the way, the cold spring is almost gone here. In Japan, for most of people, March is the end of the fiscal year.
Then TV and radio programs will be renewed from coming April.
Can you imagine what is going to happen?
People try to learn English via new programs. However, most of them quit it soon. It is repeated every year.
This doesn't mean Japanese people are lazy. (Some of them could be? I may talk about myself!)
I think the point is, as I wrote above, we do not have an opportunity to use it.
It is boring to learn something which is not used often. We don't want to spend our time for that.
It related to another issue. People don't know where they should go. The goal is unclear.
When they go to a book store they find a lot of books to learn English and get nervous.
"Oh, do I also need to learn this and this and... before I talk to foreign people?"
People can't see if their English is good enough or not. It happens because the goal is only learning English.
In addition, our character makes us hesitate to go forward.
Japanese people are worrying about making "A" mistake. It is not only using English, but also other things.
Generally speaking, we try to be perfect when we do something.
I think this is also the big barrier for many Japanese people to improve our English.
We see a complicated web of issues regarding learning English for Japanese.
What should we do then?
Although a situation is different individually, we can find a clue.
Let's see some positive examples.
- Football players who want to challenging in Europe
- Olympic players
- Tennis players (You may think of Kei Nishikori. ...Or Shuzo Matsuoka?)
Well, don't they sound familiar to you? Then how about..
- Dating with a foreign person
- Challenging English test
- Online game with foreign people
- Learning science in English
- Following film stars in English
- Going abroad for your hobby
These actions sound more accessible and familiar to you, right?
You don't care small mistakes and no hesitation, if you want to do something you are really interested in.
The important thing to improve your English is finding your own goal.
You can have many goals, both small one and big one.
Only learning English can't be a goal. It is a key to open a door to an unexpected world.
Let's have clear goals and move forward.

継続は力なり
2018年ももう3月に突入！
新年に立てた計画……遂行状況はいかがでしょうか？
そうこうしているうちに春が来て（1年の1／4おしまい）
ゴールデンウィークだ夏休みだで1年は半分以上過ぎてしまう…
ハショり過ぎましたね（笑）
でも、時間って本当にあっという間に過ぎてしまう。
だから、何かやると決めた事は続けられるように
頑張りたいですね。
そう思ってこのブログを書き始めてから2週間。
でも、まだ2週間、が正直なキモチ（笑）
時間の制約のある中で、拙い文章でも考えをまとめる
を意識して何かしらを書くというトレーニングをしているつもりです。
だから、少し前のを読み返すとひどい文章だと後悔する
ことも多々あります（笑）
でも、振り返らない。続ける。
そう、キモチは帝王！
引かぬ！
媚びぬ！
省みぬ！！
…いや、省みたほうがいいかな？
ただ、一度、挫折するとなかなか復帰するのはタイヘン。
このブログも一度、リタイヤしてます（笑）
ここ最近、英語のモノに仕方を書きましたが、コレも
継続が大事だけどタイヘンなものですよね。
モチベーション、継続できる仕組みを自分なりに見つけること。
特効薬を探し回るよりも、それが英語上達の一番の
近道、そして、一本道だと思います。
毎日、コツコツと頑張りましょう！

英語音読からの追加装備（レベルアップ）
…と、前回は地声がバレないように音読したわけですが（笑）、

せっかく音読で目にした英語をモノにするいい方法が
あります。もう、もう想像がつくでしょうか？
「文章の一部を身近な事に変えて言ってみる」
です。
以前の記事でも、同じような事書きましたね。

は思っています。さらに、音読をした場合、かなり言いやすく

「英語の反射神経」をアップ出来るからです。
結果、会話でスルスルっと言いたいことが出てくる
ようにもなってきますよ！

なんて、急にビジネスっぽくなったり？！
お分りだと思いますが、言い換え方は無限大∞
だから「身近なこと」がいいんです。
そして、そういうのは「自分が言いたいこと」なので、
知らない単語でも調べながら文章を組み立てていく とさらに言い回しの幅が広がります！
昔はiPhoneとかなかったから…
ホント、いい時代ですよね…

圧倒的なストーリーにインタラクティブに参加できるーーー

特にメタルギアソリッド2は英語版でも買い直して
プレーしました。
