Tezuka Osamu was born on November 3, 1928, as the eldest son of three brothers in Toyonaka City, Osaka Prefecture.
I grew up in an open family, was familiar with manga and animation, was a witty rich imaginative boy.
He also loved insects and was a boy who reminded me of Fabre. Even if you put the word "insect" on your pen name, you can see how interesting it is.
I learned deeply about the preciousness of life from the experience of war, so I became a doctor of medicine later in my pursuit of the path of medicine, but eventually he chose the job I wanted most.
They are manga artists and animation writers. The role manga and animation created by Tezuka Osamu plays in the process of spiritual formation of Japanese youth after World War II is immeasurable.
Tezuka changed the concept of Japan's cartoons until then, established a story cartoon with numerous new ways of expressing, and made cartoons attractive art. In addition, his work influenced all genres including literature and movies.
At the same time, in TV animation, I left a big footprint that is not inferior to that in manga.
These characters' loveable characters such as Japan's first feature length TV animation series' Astro Boy ', featured TV color animation series' Jungle Emperor' and 2 hour TV animation 'Bander Book' sweep through Japan through TV Then, I decided to make the animation deeply penetrate the public.
Tezuka's work was also exported to countries in the USA, Europe and Asia, and fostered the dreams of children in the world. In addition, he challenged all possibilities of animation, such as production of long animation for adults.
In addition to the achievements in these TV animation and commercial animation, I got a great international evaluation in experiment animation.
In all these works, Tezuka 's eternal theme of life is preserved.
Tezuka, the creator of great culture, did not know to stop, always run through his life with a certain eyes to see the great pioneering spirit, insatiable passion and the future.
On February 9, 1989, I closed that 60-year lifetime.

手塚治虫は、1928年11月3日、大阪府豊中市に3人兄弟の長男として生まれた。
開放的な家庭に育ち、漫画とアニメーションに親しみ、機智に富んだ想像力豊かな少年であった。
また昆虫をこよなく愛し、ファーブルを思わせる少年でもあった。 自身のペンネームに「虫」という字を当てたことでも、その興味の程がわかる。
戦争体験から生命の尊さを深く知り、医学の道を志して後年医学博士になるが結局彼自身が一番望んだ職業を選んだ。
すなわち漫画家、アニメーション作家である。 手塚治虫が創作した漫画とアニメーションが、第２次世界大戦後の日本の青少年の精神形成の過程で果たした役割は計り知れない。
手塚は、それまでの我が国の漫画の概念を変え、数々の新しい表現方法でストーリー漫画を確立し、漫画を魅力的な芸術にした。 また、彼の作品は、文学や映画をはじめ、あらゆるジャンルに影響を与えた。
同時にTVアニメーションにおいても、漫画におけるそれに勝るとも劣らない大きな足跡を残した。
我が国初の長編ＴＶアニメーションシリーズ「鉄腕アトム」や、長編ＴＶカラーアニメーションシリーズ「ジャングル大帝」、２時間ＴＶアニメの「バンダーブック」など、これらの作品の愛すべきキャラクター達は、ＴＶを通じて日本中を席巻し、アニメーションを大衆に深く浸透させることになった。
また手塚の作品は、アメリカ、ヨーロッパ、アジアの各国にも輸出され、世界の子供達の夢を育んだ。 加えて大人向け長編アニメの制作など、アニメのあらゆる可能性にチャレンジした。
これらのＴＶアニメ、商業アニメにおける業績に加え、実験アニメにおいても国際的に大きな評価を得た。
それらのすべての作品には、手塚の永遠のテーマである生命の尊さが貫かれている。
偉大な文化の創造者である手塚は、立ち止ることを知らず、常に大いなる開拓精神と飽くなき情熱と未来を見つめる確かな眼差しを持って、その生涯を走り抜けた。
1989年2月9日、その60年の生涯を閉じた。

Astro Boy was created by Doctor Boyton when his son Toby died in a car accident. Astro is an exact match for Toby. And was originally called Toby by his "father". When Astro was first built, Doctor Boyton wanted to keep him a secret. But people eventually found about him and he became a hero.
