Watched up to episode 9...
I never liked Ned and I never supported him as I said in my previous review, but I still cried when he died...
He was too weak and soft, yet too stubborn to be the hand of king but he was a decent father...
The death scene was quite emotional...
I mean, he gave up and tried to save his family’s lives by admitting Joff was the true King...
Cersei also wasn’t that evil to kill him...
Yet he died...
It was Joff...
It was sad for Ned and his family...
But you know...
I liked Cathrine better than Ned but I also felt she was responsible for this fight with the Lannisters.
She acted on her on and kidnapped Tyrion from start.
It was Jaime’s fault that he pushed Bran out of window and that was not wise...
However Cathrine’s action was not wise too...
It caused the death of her husband...
Joff was always mean but after he became King, madness was added to his cruelty.
He became monster.
The throne always made kings and queen to go mad...
Maybe the iron throne was cursed...
People who took the crown became mad, people who fought over the crowns became mad...
Did Joff’s madness really came from the sin of incest?
Was he just a spoiled kid? Well, definitely beyond spoiled kid...
Or did he got cursed by the throne !??
Or maybe all...
I never liked Joff but I never hated him too.
We always need that kindda guy in story anyway.
But I didn’t see him just as a cruel villain...
I saw something more in him...
He could be the victim of incest, victim of the throne.
Only his mom loved him.
His king father never cared about him.
His biological jealous father disliked him for spending too much time with his mum.
He had a drunken ugly fat king as father and he believed, or tried to believe he was his real dad...
A drunken dad that never loved his mum, never loved him...
On the other hand, I bet he could tell something was going on between his uncle Jaime and his mum...
Maybe he knew like his uncle was his biological father...
However his uncle-father was obsessed with his mummy all the time.
Well, maybe he only knew him as uncle... but I could tell they didn’t like each other.
He obviously knew the rumors about his mum and uncle...
So yah... Joff’s childhood was messed up.
I would be super messed up if I was him...
Myrcella turned out good maybe cuz she didn’t have pressure to be king.
Also she was good by nature.
So... Ned died... sad...
They made that scene so emotional...
I felt so sad for Arya and I cried...
That was also the moment a noble girl became no one... she became just a poor homeless boy.
Her life fell from glory to darkness.
She started to live the life of revenge...
Arya and Sansa had pretty good childhood than most of the GOT characters...
But happiness were taken away ...
Very emotional scene... I loved that scene...
